ABOUT THE CLIENT
The Great Lakes Ice Association (GLIA) is a regional trade association organized for the benefit of ice manufacturers, distributors and their suppliers of the states/provinces in the Great Lakes area.
PROJECT DETAILS
Not long before The Great Lakes Ice Association contacted me for the first time, they had a web site developed for them by another freelance web designer in Milwaukee. The resulting web site was poorly built leaving the GLIA with a site that did not truly represent their organization.
My task with this project was to take the content from the existing site and "re-face" it. The goal was to create a site with a more professional feel and organized in a manner that would allow the user to easily and quickly find the information they are seeking.
The web site also needed a place on the home page that would showcase each of the members of the GLIA. A special section was created which rotates through the logos of GLIA members.
This web site was created in a very timely manner and achieved all the goals of the client. Also, this site was developed so that the client could make copy updates to the site themselves allowing them to minimize maintenance costs.
