The Leads
 I have spent a lot of time learning how to get web sites to perform well in search engines. This process is called search engine optimization (SEO). Over the last couple of years, I have gotten brentkaul.com to the top of search engine listings for many keywords (read more about my site's SEO campaign). Doing this has really boosted traffic to my site and has gotten me to a point where I receive more leads than I can handle. Currently I turn away almost every single lead that I get as I just don't have time available to take on these new clients.
99% of these leads come from people that have come across my web site through searches in Google, Yahoo and other search engines. They have found me searching for phrases such as "web design", "freelance designer", "web designer", "SEO", "graphic designer", etc. Most of these leads are from people who were doing local searches (people who used the word "Milwaukee" or "Wisconsin" in their search). These leads DO NOT come to me from any other place than through my web site. These are all people who were actively looking in a search engine, came across my web site and sent me a message.
In the past, when I replied to these leads and explain to them that I just don't have the time to take on more work, they'd ask me if I can refer them to anyone. Unfortunately, before I developed this program, I had no one to refer these people to. I'm creating a list of people who would be interested in these leads so that now, I do have people to refer them to. |

How Do You Participate?
If you're looking for more business and would like the opportunity to receive leads from me, just contact me and tell me that you're interested. I will add you to the list of those that have expressed interest. When a lead comes to me through my site, I will remove the contact information from that lead and forward it to everyone on my list. You will get to see every lead without paying a thing. At that point, after seeing the details of the lead, you can decide if you'd like to purchase that lead.
If you'd like to purchase that lead, just be the first to respond to let me know that. Leads are sold for a straight $30/lead fee. If you are the first to respond with interest, you'll have first dibs on that lead. Once you submit payment, I will reply to that lead, explain to them that I can't take on their work and will refer/introduce them to you. I will cc' you in on that email so that you have all their contact information. Now it's your lead. |

Cost
• I keep it as simple as possible. There is a straight fee of $30/lead. This may sound steep but say the average job you pull in from this is a $3,000 job, that's a 1% commission.
• You get to see every lead and then decide if you'd like to buy it. If you have no interest in it, it costs you nothing.
• I only sell the lead to one person. If you are the first to reply with interest in the lead once you see it, then you have first dibs. Once payment is received, that lead is yours and only yours.
• The preferred method of payment is through PayPal (payment link at the top right of this page). It's extremely easy and quick. Other methods are accepted however. |
